We got back last night from our cruise and we had an AMAZING time!  Friday: Back to Miami

I highly recommend cruising with Royal Caribbean- they take great care of you and are very wheelchair friendly. We had a great time, but we were also glad to get home to our baby girl! Next cruise we will probably try Alaska, as the heat and humidity were rough, but who knows! Fun times ahead!

  1. I think you were there the same time my friends were! They just got back last weekend. But they were on Carnival though.
    Glad you guys had a great time!
    Have you ever cruised with Celebrity? If not, you should try them when you go to Alaska. Best cruise experience we've had. (We did RC to Alaska and kept seeing the Celebrity ship at each port - and we wished we were on it!)

  2. We saw two Carnival ships leaving Miami when we did- probably them! I'll have to look in to Celebrity- I've only been on RC and Carnival. Wasn't a huge Carnival fan, but have loved RC. What made the difference for you?

    1. =)Probably.
      Yeah, I'm not a Carnival fan either (in fact that's why I didn't go with them, even though I was invited).
      The service was seriously just amazing with Celebrity. I've only cruised with them once, this past April, on the Summit down to the Southern Caribbean (and this specific ship had GREAT reviews, so I don't know if it's all of Celebrity, or just the Summit, but we were really impressed!)Then we cruised RC for the first time 2 months later, and so it was easy to compare the two, and we just weren't as impressed. The food wasn't as good, and the staff wasn't quite as professional/amazing. On Celebrity if we asked the staff to do something to the room, they would simply appear while we were gone (even if we were only out of the room for 5 mins) and it would be done when we came back, we'd never see them in the room. On RC when I asked the attendant to separate the beds, she came in while I was in the room and when I asked her if she could come back later, she said no, she needed to do it then. So I had to sit there on the stool while she made up the beds. It was just kinda weird. I had gotten "used" to Celebrity simply making it happen. =) If you ordered a tea or something at dinner, they remembered and the next night it would simply appear without you asking (only the free drinks, obviously they weren't ordering paid drinks for you without asking). They remembered ALL the little details, even if it was something you had done without thinking, or expecting to have happen again. Every single staff person would greet you with a smile and a greeting, no matter if they were your staff person or not. They seriously treated you like YOU were a celebrity, no matter where you went. Anything you mentioned you might like, even to your friend, they would hear and do for you. I was blown away. We were SO spoiled. It was hard to come back to real life hehe. The Summit has two different Southern Caribbean routes and I'd love to go back and do the other one sometime soon.
      (Sorry for the long comment! And I don't know why it keeps wanting to publish this as anonymous, this is Jen =) )
